Beach Volleyball Thailand is based on Koh Phangan, a tropical paradise of an island in the Gulf of Thailand. The island is very diverse with natural beauty from the 70% untouched national park, and also some development over the recent years with beach bars and great restaurants. However there is still the authentic and relaxed Thai feel without the chain companies.

The Court
Our Olympic standard court and equipment is set up on Haad Rin Beach. This is a 1km beautiful golden sandy stretch of beach, surrounded by a mountainous jungle and coconut trees bordering the beach.
We also have 3 other courts set up throughout the island. During the months of Oct-Dec (rainy season) we use a location 2 minutes walk from our accommodation at Koh Space.

Flights & Boat:
The quickest and most comfortable way to get here is flying from Bangkok to neighboring island Koh Samui (which takes about 1 hour).
Also can fly to Surat Thani Airport, on the mainland, (also 1 hour flight).
Then catch a ferry.
The tickets for the ferry you can easily buy from the airport, and will include transfer to the piers from the airports via mini van. Surat Thani takes 40 minutes from the airport to pier. Samui is a 15 minutes mini van transfer. Ferry from either Surat Thani Airport (3 hours) or Koh Samui Airport (30 minutes) to Koh Phangan.

Overnight Train & Boat:
This is an fun way of arriving in Koh Phangan, almost like something off of Harry Potter going to Hogwarts. You get your own bunk to sleep on, and can peacefully get rocked to sleep. BVT would recommend taking the 85, leaving Bangkok at 19:30, and arriving at Surat Thani Train Station at 07:06. There are ferry transfers available here and they'll get you onto the 8am ferry transfer to Koh Phangan. However you'll need to catch the next ferry if the train gets delayed.

This takes the longest to get to the island, but the cheapest. Many tour companies are found at and leave from the famous Khoa San Road late at night and arrive at Chumphon Pier early in the morning. Buses take around 9 hours. Then to catch the (3 hour) 7am ferry to Koh Phangan.
