Haad Rin Beach

One, sometimes 2 beach volleyball courts in the Southern part of Koh Phangan - Haad Rin Beach. Beautiful sea to cool down and wash in afterwards. Resorts and restaurants right next door.

Trainings and tournaments held here throughout the year.

Daily play usually 4-6pm.

Seasonal: Please note the court will NOT be up over monsoon season. The court is taken down from Nov-Feb.

Koh Phangan

Malibu Beach

In the North of Koh Phangan, games can be found in Malibu Beach all year, despite the monsoon season. Female Russian professional player - Elena - hosts small training sessions here. Also open play session can be found by the local expats who live on the island, who connect via WhatsApp.

Facilities: 2 courts. One is a full court, one is more jungle style.

Chaweng beach

Organized and managed by Cord Biggs, open play 2X2 doubles can be found most days from 4pm - 6pm. Located on the beach between Banana Fan Sea Resort and KC Beach Club in the middle of Chaweng Beach. The play here can be quite competitive, with full beach rules. A large tournament happens here every February.

Phuket

Karon Beach

Being the largest island in Thailand, you will most likely be able to find good games in Phuket. Competitive 2v2 play found in Karon Beach. Join with people from 4pm. Courts are not permanent. Run by Yupa Phukrongploy, who was on the female Thai national team. Trainings can also be found here. Tournaments often played here.

Facilities: A few courts, Olympic standard.

Ability Level: Mixed levels. Usually intermediate-advanced.

Chiang Mai

Chiang Mai University

Located in the university, open play can be found here. Play every wed and sat 4 to 7pm. Organized by Roland Mogg.

There is a small group of expats and Thai players, with the university students sometime joining in.

Often 3v3, with relaxed rules if many players show. But can message the Facebook group chat, and sometime 2v2 games, full rules can be arranged.

Facilities: 1 court, (the sand is quite hard so some players wear knee protection), 7/11 50m from court for drinks

Koh Phayam

Bamboo Bungalows, Aow Yai Beach

One of the biggest, most beautiful beaches to play on. This island only has a 6 month season, usually from October - April, due to monsoon weathers after April. This island quite small and basic, due to no cars, only motorbikes being allowed on the island. BVT occasionally hosts training camps there. The level could differ and might be not many players, but usually a few players can be found there, (no guarantee).

Located every year in-front of Bamboo Bungalows in the centre of Aow Yai beach.

Seasonal: Only October - April (with no guarantee the court being up)

Facilities: 1 court, infront of resort with drinks and foods. Showers and toilets in the resort.

Ability Level: Mixed levels. Usually beginner/intermediate

Slow down resort

The name may be miss-leading, ‘slow down’, but actually this place is very happening with great beach volleyball vibes and people here connected to the resort. Open play and tournaments. Level is quite high and full rules played.

Every year they have a tournament called - Slow Down Invitational.

Koh Kood

This group wants to bring people together who have fun in playing beachvolleyball on Koh Kood. Organized by Bo Linda.

You should have at least basic or intermediate skills. Concerning the timetable we are flexible, but prefer to play in the morning as long as the sun is not that hot and on the weekend also in the evening.
